Dorothy was a breath of fresh air! She loved life and people. She spoke her mind and you always knew where you stood with her. Dorothy could hold her own with some of those "interesting character customers" who would periodically wander into the newspaper! I recall one customer where Dorothy would have to clean off the counter after she left! However, Dorothy was always kind and professional during the transaction.

Dorothy will always be a fond memory with me. Rest is peace.

I will miss her lots! Her warmth, spunk and personality! She is a ray of bright sunshine. I worked with her for about 11 years when I was first employed at the Quad-City Times and we would go to lunch together and on outings! Since she retired in 1988 we still kept in touch all these years through phone calls and get togethers. She will be truly missed greatly by all of her many friends!

Dorothy was such a wonderful lady. As a little girl I would visit my mom (Patti Bellman) at the Times & Dorothy would always tap dance with me! She had a wonderful laugh, the sweetest smile, & the biggest hugs. She will be dearly missed!
