Services to celebrate the life of Catherine A. Kopf, 55, a resident of Bettendorf will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in the All Faith Chapel at the Halligan – McCabe – DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main Street, downtown Davenport. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cathy died Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Genesis West Medical Center, Davenport, IA. She died following a brief illness that developed in April and was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing.
Catherine Ann Salter was born March 7, 1957 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a daughter of Chester D. and Lauralie (Pilcher) Salter, Jr. She graduated from Assumption High School class of 1975; and then attended Scott Community College earning a nursing degree. Cathy focused her nursing career towards helping the elderly and had a special connection to those she cared for.
She was united in marriage to Randall N. Kopf on June 7, 1986 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Cathy was an animal lover and cared deeply for her pets although, her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Randy, Bettendorf; sons, Brian (Carol) Dudley, Aptos, CA; Michael Dudley, Capitola, CA; and Brett Kopf, Moline, IL; a daughter, Amy Kopf, Bettendorf; three beloved grandchildren, Camille, Sophia, and Jameson; her mother, Lauralie P. Salter, Bettendorf; sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Bruce Boyler, Bettendorf; Christine Donnelly, Soquel, CA; and Carolyn and Pete Peterman, Bettendorf; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Diane Salter, Alexandria, VA; and Michael and Ann Salter, Bettendorf; numerous loving nieces and nephews, as well as many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Chester (Pete) and a brother-in-law, Vince Donnelly. May they rest in peace.
Memorials may be made to the ASPCA or All Saints Catholic School.
