Funeral services to celebrate the life of Cindy Privett, 44, of Davenport, will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main St, Davenport. Burial will take place in Oakdale Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Cindy passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 11:57 p.m. in Davenport due to complications from diabetes.
Cindy was born on January 4, 1968 in Ft. Madison to Nancy Johnson and was later adopted by Dr. James and Patricia Privett in Sioux City, Iowa where she grew up.
Cindy was a homemaker and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her parents; four children: Archie and Ashanda Coffey and Antwon and Alicia Privett, all of the Quad Cities; six grandchildren, Anastasia, Archie, Jr., Cinetta, Chanaya, Hosa III, DeAntwon; four brothers: David Davis, Burlington, Tim Redd, Ft. Madison, John and Jimmy Privett, Sumter, SC; three sisters: Barb "Bobbi Jean" Riles, Ft. Madison, Shirley Privett, Burlington, and Julie Privett, Sumter, SC; additional siblings: Barbara, Donny, Dennis, Danny, Bonnie, Tommy, Doug, and Dorothy; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her birth mother, Nancy Johnson, and infant brothers, Terry and Jerry.
