Memorial services celebrating the life of Cynthia J. Levsen, 66, of Davenport will be 11am Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Inurnment will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation will be 10am until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Handicapped Development Center.
Mrs. Levsen passed away quietly at her home on Thursday, September 20, 2012 following a three year battle with cancer.
Cynthia Jean Ferris was born January 17, 1946 in Moline, a daughter of Robert and Barbara (Johnston) Ferris. She was united in marriage to Robert Ono Levsen in 1969 in Moline.
In earlier years she had worked as a secretary for the Rock Island Arsenal and then became a homemaker. Most recently she had worked at the Clarissa C. Cook Home of Davenport.
In addition to her husband Bob, survivors include her children David, Deborah and Daniel Levsen, all of Davenport; and her sister Marcia (John) Cook, Moline.
Her parents preceded her in death.
