Funeral Services and Mass of Christian Burial for Eileen Doris Claeys, 90, will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 2012, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 16550 290th St., Long Grove, Ia. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 14th at St. Ann's Church. Additional visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at St. Ann's.
Eileen died Friday, October 12, 2012, at Davenport Lutheran Home.
Eileen Doris Gries was born August 1, 1922, in Scott County, the daughter of Ernest and Hannah (Kruse) Gries. She was united in marriage to Walter J. Claeys February 15, 1944, at St. Ann's Church, Long Grove, Ia. He preceded her in death October 14, 2001.
Eileen was a member of St. Ann's Church, St. Ann's Guild, Creative Christians and Scott County Farm Bureau. She was an avid baker and enjoyed crafts.
Memorials may be made to St. Ann's Church or your favorite charity.
Survivors include her daughters, Pat (Gary) Roth, Eldridge, Sheryl (Dennis) Yard, Galesburg, Illinois, Mary (Tom) Gumfory, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Barb Claeys, Eldridge; sons, Louis Claeys, Eldridge and David Claeys, Davenport; 12 grandchildren and 9great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Walter and a brother Eldon Gries
