Lorraine Angel was born on April 5, 1925 in Calumet City, Illinois the second of five children of Frank and Mary (Zasada) Angel. Lorraine's deep faith was precious to her. She and Richard raised their two children, Connie and John, steeped in the Catholic faith. She was an active member in the Catholic churches, lecturing, Altar and Rosary Society, Daughters of Isabella and served on various church committees. She and Richard loved to dance and always enjoyed social events that included dancing. She loved to plant flowers and tend to them throughout the season. She was a very creative homemaker who thoroughly enjoyed decorating for every holiday and sharing her cooking and baking talents with family and friends. One of her greatest enjoyments in life was vacationing with her family every summer to Door County, Wisconsin. Many memorable conversations, beautiful sightseeing and fun times were had during those vacations.
She will greatly missed and eternally loved by her daughter, Connie Hildebranski, Bettendorf, her son, John Hildebranski (fiancée Linda Kline), Davenport, her adopted daughter, Jane Heinz, Bettendorf, a sister, Vera (Frank) Paunicka, Munster, IN, a brother, Don "Red" (Sandy) Angel, Lansing, IL, a brother-in-law, Thomas (Terry) Hildebranski, Hammond, IN, a sister-in-law, Mary Angel; God Children, Lisa, Kat, Michael and Joey and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her most loving husband, Richard, parents, brothers, Fr. Irvin H.A. Angel and Jim Angel; her in-laws, Florence and Charlie Hildebranski and Lil and Bob Hildebranski, nieces Nancy and Donna. May they rest in peace.
