A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Lou Johnson, 81, a resident of Davenport will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1506 Brown Street, Bettendorf. The family will greet friends Monday in the gather space at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Following Mary Lou's wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
The Halligan – McCabe – DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mary Lou died peacefully Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street, Davenport. She passed following a brief illness.
Mary Lou Wiley was born December 13, 1930, in Davenport, Iowa a daughter of Louis A. and Lillian (O'Brien) Wiley.
She retired after more than twenty-years of service as Office Manager of the former Stevenson Sales, currently Chart Automotive Group. She later went on to assist in office management for the DeGreve Oil Change franchise.
Mary Lou was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye Fan; and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Memorials can be made to the family.
Survivors include a daughter, Lou Ann Goral, Davenport, a grandson, Louis Goral, Chicago, Illinois; and a dear family friend, Don Lualan, Gulf Port, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jack Wiley, and her son, Michael Wiley Johnson. May they rest in peace.
