Visitation for Richard E. "Ricky" Castel, 39, of Davenport, will be 12-2pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Downtown Davenport. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family.
Mr. Castel passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, October 18, 2012.
Richard E. Castel was born June 24, 1973 in Davenport a son of Richard L. and Pamela (Cosper) Castel.
Ricky had most recently worked as a forklift driver for Jacobson Co, Mt. Joy, IA.
He played hard and loved to ride Harley's and listen to his favorite band, Motley Crue. Family was a huge part of his life and he enjoyed attending family gatherings and was especially proud of his daughter Miranda.
Those left to honor his memory include his beloved daughter Miranda Castel, Davenport; parents Richard L. (Ruth Ann) Castel, Davenport; brothers Joseph (Melissa) Castel, Walcott, Jeremy (Gina) Castel, Delavan, WI, Nichlaus, Castel, Davenport; sisters Dawn Bowdre, Davenport, Angela Bowdre, Truth or Consequences, NM; paternal grandparents Ray and Gay Castel, Davenport; maternal grandfather Gene Cosper, Houston, TX; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother Pamela Bowdre on May 4, 2012, brother Frankie; and maternal grandmother Frieda Cosper.
Ricky was very much loved and will be deeply missed.
