Ted was born on September 7, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Adrian "Pete" Peterschmidt and Rosemary (Schmitz) Peterschmidt, and moved to Davenport shortly thereafter. Ted had a zest for life and enjoyed living it to the fullest. He enjoyed camping, hunting, scuba diving, and making pottery. He was an avid skier, an airplane pilot, and enjoyed making his own wine. He like to garden, and in later years earned the title of Certified Master Gardener.
He was preceded in death by his mother Rosemary and is survived by his two sons, Frank "Pete" Peterschmidt of Iowa City and Donte Peterschmidt of Bettendorf; his father Adrian (Pauline) Peterschmidt of Des Moines, Iowa and four siblings, Doug (Ann) Peterschmidt of Independence, Iowa; Catherine Johnson of Aurora, Colorado; Mary (Bob) Bursaw of Andover, Minnesota; and Tim (Brenda) Peterschmidt of Davenport as well as several nieces and nephews.
