Helen Magdalena Ramirez was born one of thirteen children on July 22, 1926, to Dionisio and Adelaida (Gutierrez) Ramirez. She was united in marriage to Jesse Jasso on April 6, 1963.
Helen was a member of St. Anthony's Church. She enjoyed dancing and followed the Los Macombos and Los Reales bands in which her husband played for many years. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially attending her grandchildren's activities.
Memorials may be made to either the family or Q.C. Ballet Folklorico
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Jesse of Davenport and their children and their spouses, Victoria (Raymond Sr.) Terronez, Connie (Victor) Molina, all of East Moline, and Adella (Amalio) Ramirez-Maldonado of Davenport; grandchildren, Elena Terronez (Brandon) Anderson, Raymond Jr. and Micaela Terronez, Nicole and Jesse Molina, Angelica, Antonio, and Angel Maldonado; great granddaughter, Loren Anderson; her brothers, Merle (Carmela) Ramirez and Raymond Ramirez all of Davenport; a special nephew, Juan Ramirez and family in Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Mary, Micaela, Juanita, Manuel, Frank, Joseph and Henry. May they rest in peace. Her family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Motto and his staff and to the staff at Clarrisa C. Cook Hospice House for all of the care given to their mother.
