Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mary Vivian Washam, 75, a resident of Davenport, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. If you want to attend, please be at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Washam died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Davenport.
Mary Vivian York was born on July 3, 1936 in Davenport, a daughter of Melvin and Catherine (Herber) York. She was united in marriage to Clarence Washam in August of 1956 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Davenport.
Vivian liked to go to the casino and spend time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence; their children: Vicki (Don) Kind, Newport, WA; Brenda (Jerry) Gott, Bill Washam, and Tammy Washam, all of Davenport; twelve grandchildren; fourteen grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Paul, Bob, Jerry, Gary, Pat, Connie, Judy, Pam, Jackie, Marsha, and Darlene.
Vivian was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Ponder, parents, and her siblings, Donna, Shirley, Snookie, and Jack. May they rest in peace.
